Three Palestinians have been killed and several others, including children, injured in Gaza following an Israeli air strike and gunfire. These incidents occurred amid daily Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement in the besieged enclave.
A medical source at al-Shifa Hospital reported on Tuesday that the bodies of two Palestinians, identified by local sources as Izz al-Din al-Beik and Muhannad Abu Foul, were brought to the facility. They, along with several injured individuals including children, were victims of an Israeli air strike targeting an apartment in the Al-Batoul building, located in the Al-Nasr neighbourhood west of Gaza City. Witnesses stated that an Israeli suicide drone carried out the attack after hovering over the area shortly before the strike, which caused panic among residents, sparked a fire, and completely destroyed the apartment.
In a separate incident in central Gaza, another Palestinian, Ahmed Abu Mur, was killed by Israeli army gunfire on Salah al-Din Street, east of Deir al Balah. His body was brought to al Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, according to a medical source there.
Concurrently, witnesses and local sources reported that the Israeli army conducted a major demolition operation, targeting buildings within areas under its control east of Deir al Balah.
According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement have resulted in the deaths of 1,421 Palestinians and injuries to 4,983 others. Since October 2023, Israel’s ongoing war on Gaza has killed more than 74,000 Palestinians and injured over 175,000, while approximately 90 percent of Gaza’s infrastructure has been destroyed.
