Pop superstar Taylor Swift has released a new track titled "Cleveland!" as part of an expanded edition of her 2025 album, "The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore." The project, which arrived on Friday, includes four additional songs: "Patient Zero," "Pink Clouding," "Babylon," and "Cleveland!"
While other tracks on the expanded edition focus on themes of nostalgia, fleeting euphoria, and relationship struggles, "Cleveland!" serves as a love song dedicated to Swift's husband, Travis Kelce, and his Ohio roots. The lyrics and title appear to draw inspiration from Kelce's upbringing in Cleveland Heights, as well as the "New Heights" podcast he co-hosts with his brother, Jason Kelce. In the song, Swift describes Kelce taking her to Cleveland to show her the Heights, ultimately declaring him the "love of my life."
The track also contains what appears to be a direct reference to the couple's wedding. In the final chorus, Swift adjusts the lyrics to note, "now I'm wearing white," a detail that seems to nod to their July 3 nuptials held at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The specific lyric states: "He already took me to Cleveland, now I'm wearing white / So hate all you like, this is the love of my life."
Prior to the wedding reference, the song addresses the intense public scrutiny Swift has faced throughout her relationship. She touches on familiar criticisms regarding her fashion choices, appearance, and dancing, ultimately asserting that Kelce's perspective is the only one that truly matters to her. She sings, "And with all of that money, why's she dressed like trash? / When she smiles, it's annoying, and have you seen her? / Stumbling clumsily? Would you even call that dancing?" She continues, "The taste of me is acquired, but it's his favorite dish / He says I look like an angel, they say, 'I hate that b****' / There, that house with the porch is where he lived as a kid."
Swift and Kelce began dating in 2023, announced their engagement in August 2025, and married the following summer. Swift announced the expanded edition of her album on Instagram on Sept. 23, noting that the new tracks were inspired by fan enthusiasm. The songs are currently available on digital platforms.
