The Health Ministry in Gaza announced on Thursday that 10 Palestinians were killed and 25 others were wounded during the previous 24-hour period. These latest casualties bring the total death toll from Israel's campaign in the blockaded enclave since October 2023 to 73,417. According to the ministry's daily statistical report, hospitals across the territory received the 10 bodies and 25 injured individuals during this timeframe.
While the ministry did not detail the specific circumstances of these latest deaths, it noted that the Israeli military has continued to carry out shelling and gunfire across various parts of Gaza. These actions are being characterized by the ministry as ongoing violations of the October 2025 ceasefire. Since the start of these truce violations, the ministry reports that 1,283 people have been killed and 4,248 have been injured.
Recovery efforts remain severely hampered, as many victims are reportedly trapped under rubble or stranded on roads where ambulance and civil defence crews are unable to reach them. The ministry stated that the overall casualty count for the entire conflict has now reached 73,417 deaths and 174,360 injuries.
Beyond the human toll, the military campaign has caused extensive destruction to the region. Approximately 90 percent of Gaza's civilian infrastructure has been damaged, with the United Nations estimating that the total cost for reconstruction will be around $70 billion.
