Türkiye's Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz announced on Tuesday that a government board tasked with overseeing the implementation of the National Solidarity and Strengthening Social Cohesion Law is scheduled to hold its first meeting on August 24. Yilmaz, who will serve as the chair of the board, shared the update via the Turkish social media platform NSosyal.

The board was formally established following the publication of the law in the Official Gazette. According to Yilmaz, the legislative framework for the "Terror-Free Türkiye" process was officially put into effect on Monday, following earlier parliamentary approval. He noted that the board operates under his chairmanship as defined by the legislation.

Preparatory work is already underway, with the various ministries and institutions represented on the board beginning their assigned responsibilities. During the upcoming August 24 session, members plan to finalize the board’s working procedures and principles. The meeting will also address the creation of subcommittees tailored to the specific needs of the disarmament and dissolution process.

Furthermore, the board is expected to evaluate issues raised by its members that necessitate coordination across different state institutions. "Our Board will work in effective coordination for our national unity, brotherhood and peace, and will work intensively to fulfill all duties and responsibilities defined under Law No. 7595," Yilmaz stated.
