Türkiye and 7 other nations have issued a formal condemnation of Israel's decision to reject a roadmap aimed at finalizing the implementation of US President Donald Trump’s plan to resolve the Gaza conflict. In a joint statement, the foreign ministers of Türkiye, Egypt, Indonesia, Jordan, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates warned that Israel's stance, which includes a rejection of Palestinian statehood, jeopardizes prospects for achieving lasting peace.
The ministers asserted that these positions represent a direct repudiation of the Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict, which holds the endorsement of UN Security Council Resolution 2803. According to the coalition, Israel’s refusal to engage with the roadmap undermines collective international efforts to secure peace in both Gaza and the broader Occupied Palestinian Territory. The group stated that Israel now bears full responsibility for obstructing peace efforts, as the roadmap had already been accepted by Palestinian factions following extensive mediation by the US, Egypt, Qatar, Türkiye, the High Representative of Gaza, and the Board of Peace.
The proposed roadmap outlines critical steps for the region, including the withdrawal of Israeli forces, the decommissioning of weapons, the deployment of an International Stabilization Force, the reconstruction of the enclave, and the transfer of administrative authority to the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza. The ministers emphasized that rejecting this framework threatens to derail US-led efforts to end the war.
Calling for sustained and active US engagement, the ministers urged Washington to ensure Israel complies with its commitments to prevent further delays or obstructions. They warned that Israel carries direct responsibility for any consequences arising from its non-compliance, including further humanitarian deterioration. The coalition reaffirmed its support for Palestinian self-determination, insisting that a comprehensive peace can only be achieved through a two-state solution based on 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as the capital of an independent Palestinian state.
Furthermore, the ministers underscored the essential role of the Board of Peace and urged all parties to support its mandate. They called on the board, with active US backing, to take immediate and concrete measures to protect the integrity of the peace plan and prevent any further obstruction of its implementation.
