A legal challenge brought by Prince Harry and several other individuals against the Daily Mail has been dismissed by a UK court. The ruling represents a notable setback for the 41-year-old prince, who has engaged in multiple high-profile legal battles against British tabloid publishers.
Throughout his public campaigns against the press, the prince has frequently cited the 1997 car crash in Paris that resulted in the death of his mother, Princess Diana, as a primary motivation for his actions. He has consistently drawn parallels between the media scrutiny his mother faced and the treatment of his American wife, Meghan.
In a poignant moment during the proceedings this past January, the prince appeared in the witness box and struggled to hold back tears while testifying. During his testimony, he alleged that the Daily Mail had made Meghan’s life “an absolute misery” through its reporting.
