Donald Trump has urged Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to "make a deal," stating that the United States has provided "tremendous amounts to Ukraine" but has "got nothing back. Other than high diesel." Trump added that "The American taxpayers are tired of it."

Trump's comments followed a meeting between President Zelenskyy and a US delegation in Oslo, led by special envoy Steve Witkoff. Witkoff is scheduled to travel to Russia for a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday.

Following the discussions in Oslo, which also included Finnish President Alexander Stubb and Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, Zelenskyy appeared optimistic. He informed journalists that he had recently held a constructive call with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and subsequently called for a trilateral meeting that would involve himself, Trump, and Putin.

During a press conference with the Nordic leaders, Zelenskyy also addressed previous concerns regarding restrictions on US intelligence sharing. He expressed gratitude, stating he was "thankful" that "intelligence works now." Zelenskyy emphasized the importance of this, saying, "I'm speaking about early warning, what is very important for our people, for children, adults, civilians, because we can hear when ballistic is coming."

Later in the evening, Zelenskyy posted on social media, reiterating his positive outlook: "It was constructive because all of us want peace – Ukraine, Europe, the United States. And we will see what happens tomorrow."
