Rúben Amorim has laid out bold ambitions for his first season leading Milan, publicly declaring that the club should compete for the Scudetto while also striving to win the Europa League. Despite the significant squad rebuild currently underway, the coach has refused to lower expectations for the Rossoneri.

Addressing the challenge, Amorim stated that he cannot dismiss the possibility of winning the title, noting that a club of Milan's stature must always aim for the top. He acknowledged that there is a substantial amount of work to be done with a new coach and a changed squad, but emphasized that the team will try to reach those heights. Regarding European competition, he added that the club must believe in their ability to win the Europa League.

While maintaining an ambitious outlook, the Portuguese manager stressed that meaningful progress requires patience. He framed a return to the Champions League as a fundamental objective for the club's development. He noted that while everyone desires immediate success, doing things correctly takes time, and he is committed to making the right decisions at the right moments.

Amorim pointed to the pre-season derby against Inter as a positive indicator of the team's direction, noting clear improvements compared to the earlier match against Celtic. He observed that his players are currently suffering physically as they adapt to his new tactical style. However, he promised that by the time the season opener arrives, the squad will be a different team playing with a precise style, even if they remain far from perfection at that stage.
