Paris Saint-Germain have officially announced the signing of left-back Lucas Digne from Aston Villa. The transfer was finalized after the reigning Champions League winners triggered the 33-year-old's €10 million release clause.
This move marks a return to the French capital for Digne, who previously spent two seasons with PSG between 2013 and 2015. The defender's arrival also facilitates a reunion with manager Luis Enrique, who previously coached Digne at FC Barcelona ten years ago.
Digne departs Aston Villa having established himself as a key contributor, notably leaving the Birmingham-based club as an Europa League winner. Since joining Villa from Premier League rivals Everton in 2022, he amassed a total of 182 appearances for the side.
