Israeli military operations across the blockaded Gaza Strip have resulted in the deaths of four Palestinians, according to medical sources. Among those killed was 28-year-old Basir al-Bursh, who died in a strike targeting him in the al-Zahra neighbourhood west of the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza. Basir al-Bursh was the son of Munir al-Bursh, the Director-General of the Gaza Health Ministry.
Additional casualties were reported in Gaza City and further south. In the Shujaiya neighbourhood of eastern Gaza City, a Palestinian was killed by an Israeli drone strike. Meanwhile, in the Sheikh Radwan neighbourhood of northern Gaza City, another individual was killed and seven others were wounded after a drone struck a civilian vehicle. Medical officials confirmed that two young girls were among those injured in that strike, with one reported to be in critical condition. In central Gaza, a Palestinian girl succumbed to wounds sustained during an earlier Israeli army operation north of the Nuseirat refugee camp.
Military activity remains widespread across the enclave. Witnesses reported that Israeli military vehicles intermittently opened fire east of the Jabalia refugee camp, though no casualties were documented in that specific incident. In southern Gaza, Israeli forces opened fire in the al-Shakoush area southwest of Khan Younis, while drones dropped bombs in the surrounding vicinity. Furthermore, Israeli attack helicopters conducted heavy fire south of the al-Mawasi area west of Khan Younis and in sectors adjacent to Rafah.
Since October 2023, the total death toll from Israel’s military campaign in Gaza has surpassed 73,000, with more than 174,000 others wounded. Many experts suggest the actual fatalities could be as high as 200,000. While a truce has been in place since October 2025, it has been described as one-sided, with Israel continuing daily violations that have resulted in nearly 1,400 additional deaths and 4,800 injuries. Israel currently occupies 60 percent of the enclave, having displaced the entire population and reduced most of the territory to ruins.
