Manchester City superstar Erling Haaland recently found himself in an unexpected position as a tourist attraction while enjoying his holiday in Taormina, Sicily. The 26-year-old striker, who has built a massive social media following of over 76.7 million on Instagram following the 2026 FIFA World Cup, was enjoying time on a luxury yacht alongside professional footballer Sander Berge. The pair were spotted engaging in leisure activities, including playing golf and football on makeshift decks.

The vacation took a viral turn when a boat filled with fans and tourists docked alongside the yacht, hoping to catch a glimpse of the Norwegian forward. Stunned by the intrusion, Haaland addressed the crowd directly, stating, "They are riding tourist boats. Go and drive your cars to where Haaland is staying.. come and look at where Erling Haaland is staying. I have never seen anything like this before."

Haaland has recently gained significant popularity for his comedic personality and humble off-pitch demeanor, even earning the nickname 'ha baby' from fans in China. He is expected to return to training with Manchester City later this week ahead of their Community Shield final match against Arsenal on August 16. The striker, who remains under contract with the Cityzens until 2034, has recorded 162 goals and 30 assists in 198 appearances across all competitions.

Separately, Premier League icon Michael Owen has weighed in on the prospect of Haaland forming a potential partnership with Kylian Mbappe at Real Madrid. Owen expressed skepticism about the feasibility of such a move, noting, "While they've got Mbappe, I can't see them spending that money. Already people question whether Vini Junior and Mbappe can play together because Mbappe likes to play off the left a bit."

Owen further suggested that the two players might be incompatible in the same squad due to their status as two of the best centre-forwards in the world. "I think it's one or the other, to be honest. I don't think you can have two of the arguably best centre-forwards in the world, Mbappe and Haaland, in the same squad, personally," he added. He concluded by noting that the financial costs and the challenge of integrating both stars would be significant hurdles for any club.

However, the Norway ace inadvertently became a local landmark after a boat full of fans and tourists docked alongside his yacht to catch a glimpse of him.The 26-year-old was left stunned and then said (via GOAL):"They are riding tourist boats.

They've already tried the Galactico thing many years ago, my generation.
