Djed Spence has officially completed his transfer from Tottenham Hotspur to Inter, signing a long-term contract that keeps him at San Siro until June 2031. The versatile English full-back finalized the €35 million move following a busy schedule, flying in on Thursday evening and successfully completing his medical examinations on Friday before the deal was officially announced.
Spence is no stranger to Serie A, having previously spent a loan spell with Genoa in 2024. During his time with Genoa, he experienced the iconic atmosphere of San Siro, an arena he remembers fondly for its history of hosting legendary players. He noted that playing in England, France, and Italy has significantly shaped his character and career, helping him mature both on and off the pitch.
At Inter, Spence is set to fill the vacancy left by Denzel Dumfries, who recently transferred to Real Madrid. While Spence is capable of playing on the left flank, his primary strengths lie in his defensive capabilities—where he is considered superior to Dumfries—and his ball-carrying skills.
