White remarked that he would do whatever is required by the coach and his teammates, adding that he believes his participation is only fair.
Two days following the initial announcement, White posted an image of himself wearing a wig, captioning the post as his "feminine era glow up" and asking followers if he "slayed." He also suggested that those who did not respond with "yassss queen" were being transphobic, maintaining that he simply wants to play basketball with other women. Upon seeing the post, Bryant, the all-time leader in receiving touchdowns for the Dallas Cowboys, responded on social media with laughter.
Beyond the controversy surrounding White, Bryant has been vocal about his observations on the current WNBA season. While much of the public discourse has focused on Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese, Bryant has shifted his support toward Minnesota Lynx player Olivia Miles. Bryant explicitly stated that he considers Miles to be the Rookie of the Year and the league's MVP, labeling her "The Face" of the WNBA.
Bryant's endorsement follows a standout performance by Miles against the Las Vegas Aces, where she recorded 26 points, four rebounds, and seven assists in a 98-87 victory that helped the Lynx secure a playoff spot. Throughout her debut season, Miles has maintained impressive averages of 19.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 5.8 assists per game, shooting 50.2% from the field, 38.6% from beyond the arc, and 87.8% from the free-throw line. Should Miles secure both the Rookie of the Year and MVP titles, she would become the first player to achieve the feat since Hall of Famer Candace Parker in 2008.
