Davide Frattesi has finalized a move to Lazio, a transfer he describes as a homecoming to the club where he developed as a young player. Speaking through the club's official channels, the midfielder expressed that the process of finalizing the deal was both demanding and rewarding. He described the wait as a period filled with desire, noting that while the recent days were tiring, the outcome made the effort worthwhile.
For Frattesi, the transition carries significant personal meaning, as he spent his boyhood in the Lazio academy before eventually moving to Roma. During his arrival, he noted how he recognized the familiar streets he walked while training at Giustiniana as a child. He emphasized that he is returning to the club with increased maturity and a readiness to accept significant responsibilities.
A primary motivation for the move was Frattesi's desire to become a protagonist again after serving a peripheral role at Inter. While he noted that he maintained a positive relationship with the Inter supporters despite his limited playing time, he felt the need for a change. The warm reception from the Lazio fanbase has further energized him, as he stated he needed to feel at the center of a project once again.
The midfielder also revealed that this move had been a possibility in the past, noting that the two parties were close to an agreement in January, though the deal did not materialize at that time. When the opportunity resurfaced recently, he was informed only a few days prior, leaving a short window to finalize the paperwork. Frattesi confirmed that he had few doubts about accepting the move.
