The Buffalo Bills are preparing to transition to their new home at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, New York, for the 2026 season. The construction of this massive facility came with a price tag of $2.1 billion. However, as the team nears its debut in the new venue, concerns regarding the spectator experience have already surfaced.
On Sunday, Bills insider Alex Brasky highlighted a significant flaw regarding seating within the stadium. According to Brasky, the presence of obstructed-view seating is a major issue, but the situation is exacerbated by claims that ticket representatives provided inaccurate information to fans. Brasky stated on social media that the obstructed-view seating is a significant problem and noted that the reports of fans being "blatantly lied" to by ticket reps represent an even larger concern.
The franchise is moving on from its previous home in Orchard Park, where the team played for 53 seasons from August 1973 through January 2026. That facility saw five name changes during its tenure, including being known as Highmark Stadium from 2021 until the conclusion of the 2025 season. The team hopes the new stadium will help them overcome a long-standing hurdle; despite reaching the Super Bowl four times between the 1990 and 1993 seasons, the Bills have never secured a championship title.
Looking ahead to the 2026 season, the Bills have scheduled three preseason games. They will host the Panthers on August 15 at 1 p.m. ET, travel to face the Browns on August 22 at 4 p.m. ET, and host the Steelers on August 27 at 7 p.m. ET. Following a loss to the Denver Broncos in the divisional round of the playoffs last season, the organization is looking to move past recent postseason disappointments as they enter this new era.
