Resuming the day at 96 for 1, Bangladesh adopted a cautious approach. Mominul Haque and Tanzid navigated the Australian seam attack effectively, as the hosts failed to extract significant movement from the pitch. The pair extended their partnership past 100 before Josh Hazlewood provided the breakthrough, dismissing Mominul for 49 after he edged a delivery to Alex Carey.
Tanzid continued his impressive display, growing in confidence as the innings progressed.
