Galatasaray has re-entered intensive discussions with AC Milan regarding the potential transfer of Rafael Leao. The move comes as reports indicate that Milan has lowered its valuation of the forward, with the price tag now potentially falling below the previously requested €50 million plus €10 million in add-ons.
The Rossoneri had initially hoped that major clubs from the top five European leagues would pursue the player once his availability became known, but that expected interest failed to materialize. Consequently, the failure to secure a buyer at the original asking price has prompted the Italian side to adjust their financial expectations.
Galatasaray’s renewed interest follows their failed attempt to sign Gabriel Martinelli from Arsenal. The Turkish club had a €45 million bid for the Brazilian rejected, with the Premier League side noting that the player had no intention of moving to Istanbul. With that pursuit closed, Galatasaray has shifted its focus back to the Milan forward as the Italian club signals a willingness to accept a lower fee.
