Davide Frattesi has officially joined Lazio on loan from Inter Milan for the remainder of the season. The transfer agreement includes an option for Lazio to purchase the midfielder at the end of the campaign.
The deal underwent significant changes during negotiations between the two clubs earlier this week. Originally, an obligation to buy was discussed, but financial restrictions at Lazio made that structure impossible to implement. To resolve the impasse, the clubs renegotiated the terms, resulting in a loan fee reported at €5 million and an option to buy set at €10 million. Under the current agreement, the purchase option represents half of any future value Lazio receives beyond €15 million, rather than half of a total fee.
Frattesi arrived in Rome on August 14, 2026, to finalize the move, successfully completing his medical examinations before signing the contract. The transfer marks a return to his roots, as the Lazio announcement highlighted that the club was the first youth academy Frattesi joined during his development.
