Reports confirmed on Thursday that the coach has identified several players who do not fit into his future project and are expected to be sold; these individuals will not participate in the upcoming fixture. Additionally, Christian Pulisic has yet to return to first-team action this summer.
Adding to the selection difficulties, Matteo Gabbia has been ruled out of the trip. According to confirmations from Gianluca Di Marzio and other reporters, the defender is suffering from an impact injury to his ankle and will remain in Milan to recover.
In light of these mounting absences, particularly the lack of available personnel at centre-back—with Tomori and Odogu also unavailable—Mario Gila has returned to the squad. Gila may be forced into a starting position to address the defensive shortage.
