Premier League Clubs Discover Carabao Cup Second Round Opponents

Premier League clubs have officially learned their opponents for the second round of the Carabao Cup following the draw held this evening. Among the most notable fixtures, Chelsea has been drawn to play at home against Luton Town. Other highlights include Newcastle United facing West Bromwich Albion, while Tottenham Hotspur is scheduled to host Charlton Athletic.

The draw also produced a conditional fixture, as either Plymouth Argyle or Exeter City will host Coventry City, with the home side to be confirmed following the conclusion of the match at Home Park. Further matchups include Blackburn Rovers taking on Sheffield United, while Wolverhampton Wanderers travel to face Sheffield Wednesday, and Walsall prepares to host Leyton Orient.

The second round of the competition is set to take place during the week commencing August 24th. This stage of the tournament will see 22 teams successfully progress to the third round.
