The Israeli leader emphasized that his government would continue to thwart threats against its citizens and military forces. He explicitly stated that the disarmament process must be authentic, warning against what he described as any "fictitious" efforts to comply with the plan. Netanyahu confirmed that he is currently engaged in discussions with US officials regarding the future of the situation.
The 15-point document was presented by Trump's Board of Peace last month, with the administration hailing it as a significant step toward lasting regional security. While the proposal aimed for the complete disarmament of Hamas and other armed groups in Gaza, the militant organization has maintained that any handover of heavy weaponry is strictly contingent upon Israel ending all forms of aggression and withdrawing its forces from the region.
Israel has persisted with its strikes on Gaza, continuing military operations that have been ongoing since the implementation of an initial ceasefire agreement last October.
