The match, held at the Arnos Vale Ground in St. Vincent, saw the Knight Riders perform well despite the absence of regular captain Nicholas Pooran and Kieron Pollard.
Opting to field first, the Knight Riders restricted the Patriots to a total of 109/9. Sunil Narine was the standout performer with the ball, delivering a miserly spell of 3/7 across his four overs. Narine utilized the Powerplay effectively, claiming two wickets in the second over and adding another in the fourth. Although Johnson Charles and Kevin Wickham attempted to stabilize the innings with a 24-run partnership, the Patriots collapsed to 47/6 within 11 overs.
