Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan conducted a meeting with Jordan’s King Abdullah II in Amman on Wednesday, according to an official statement. The engagement was confirmed via a post on the Turkish foreign ministry’s social media account, though no further details regarding the content of their discussion were disclosed.
Earlier on the same day, Fidan participated in a ministerial meeting hosted by Jordan that focused on the situation in occupied East Jerusalem. During this gathering, the foreign minister noted that representatives from nearly 20 Islamic countries engaged in discussions regarding collective measures to address recent violations by Israel at the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Fidan emphasized that ongoing regional crises should not divert international attention away from critical developments occurring within the occupied Palestinian territories. Following the meeting, he spoke to Anadolu, stating that the participants focused exclusively on the recent actions taken by Israel targeting the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
