Gymnastics superstar Simone Biles is currently in recovery mode regarding a specific fashion accessory. During her appearance at the Faces of Fitness festival in Chicago this past weekend, the 29-year-old athlete disclosed that her Saint Laurent sunglasses were taken while she attended the high-profile wedding of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.

Biles, who spearheaded the festival's inaugural fully immersive mental health experience, identified fellow wedding guest and musician Avril Lavigne as the person who took the expensive shades. A clip posted to TikTok features Biles responding to a question about wedding gossip, stating, "Avril Lavigne stole my sunglasses." In the same video, Biles mentioned she hoped to reach out to the singer online to ask for them back, though she noted she did not believe Lavigne had seen her message yet.

The nuptials took place on July 3 at Madison Square Garden, where Biles and her husband, Indianapolis Colts safety Jonathan Owens, were among the dozens of celebrities in attendance. Biles later celebrated the event on Instagram, describing it as "the perfect love story, followed by the perfect nighTT" and sharing photos of the couple in their matching wedding attire.

The wedding was widely described as a star-studded affair. ESPN sports analyst Pat McAfee, who also attended, recounted the event during a July 13 broadcast of "The Pat McAfee Show." McAfee highlighted the evening's entertainment, noting that Stevie Nicks and Paul McCartney performed, and that Avril Lavigne joined the stage to sing her hit track "Sk8er Boi." According to reports from Entertainment Weekly, the guest list included numerous other musicians, such as the Haim sisters, Camila Cabello, Sombr, Ellie Goulding, Benson Boone, Ashanti, and The Chicks. McAfee remarked on the collaborative nature of the performances, noting that musicians would frequently call upon one another to join them on stage throughout the night.

Representatives for both Biles and Lavigne were contacted for comment on July 29 regarding the incident.
