Arsenal have finalized the signing of Greece winger Christos Tzolis, bringing the 24-year-old to the Emirates Stadium from Club Brugge. While no official fee was disclosed, reports from British media indicate the transfer is valued at £34 million ($45 million). The move serves as a replacement for Leandro Trossard, following his departure to Besiktas.
The acquisition marks Arsenal's third permanent transfer of the current window and comes just 48 hours after the club missed out on signing Morgan Rogers, who joined city rivals Chelsea for a British record fee of £117 million ($157 million). During his move to Chelsea, the England midfielder notably described the Blues as the "biggest club in London."
Tzolis joins the Gunners with a proven track record, having netted 43 goals in 108 appearances for Club Brugge. He previously faced his new employers during the Belgian side's 3-0 Champions League defeat to Arsenal last season. His career path has included stints across Europe; after starting at PAOK Thessaloniki—where he helped the team secure the Greek Cup in May 2021—he moved to the Premier League with Norwich City. He later gained experience on loan at FC Twente in the Netherlands and Fortuna Duesseldorf in Germany before joining Brugge in 2024, where he celebrated a Belgian league title win.
