Israeli military operations across the occupied West Bank resulted in the detention of 30 Palestinians on Tuesday. According to the Prisoners’ Media Office, the raids involved widespread home searches and the forced conversion of a private residence into a temporary interrogation centre.

The majority of the arrests occurred within the northern Nablus province. Security forces detained 15 individuals in the village of Tell, 12 in Asira al-Shamaliya, and one in the village of Talfit. Additional arrests were reported in the northeastern region of Tubas and in the southern city of Hebron, where homes were raided and searched by Israeli forces.

Simultaneously, a violent incident occurred in Talfit, south of Nablus, where local sources reported that a Palestinian family was assaulted by illegal Israeli settlers. The attackers, who were wearing military uniforms to disguise themselves as Israeli soldiers, reportedly knocked on the door of the home belonging to Yusuf Munawwar Abu Aisha. The settlers then proceeded to severely beat Abu Aisha and other family members.

Several members of the family sustained injuries and bruises during the assault and were subsequently transported to a hospital for medical treatment. Local sources noted that the Israeli army conducted raids on multiple homes in the same village during the time of the attack.

These military actions and incidents involving illegal settlers have seen an increase across the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, since the onset of the conflict in Gaza in October 2023. Palestinians have expressed concerns that the ongoing expansion of illegal settlements and frequent attacks pose a significant threat to the prospect of establishing an independent Palestinian state in accordance with international resolutions.
