Israeli military operations across the Gaza Strip have resulted in at least eight Palestinian deaths and over 15 injuries, according to confirmations from hospital officials. These incidents mark a continuation of ongoing ceasefire violations in the region. In Gaza City, five Palestinians were killed and several others wounded when an Israeli air strike targeted a vehicle in the Tal al-Hawa neighbourhood, as reported by medical staff at the Al-Shifa Medical Complex. A separate strike on a residential apartment near the same hospital resulted in the death of a Palestinian woman.
In the southern Gaza Strip, an Israeli drone strike hit a gathering of civilians near the Al-Awqaf Mosque in the Al-Mawasi area, north of Khan Younis. Among those killed was Palestinian journalist Muhammad Abdel Aziz al-Najjar. The Nasser Medical Complex confirmed his death, noting that other wounded individuals from the strike remain under medical care. Al-Najjar, who was displaced from Khuza'a, east of Khan Younis, served as a broadcaster for the Holy Quran Radio and as the imam of the Ibad al-Rahman Mosque. His death follows the earlier killing of his brother, Muhannad, during the ongoing genocide. The government media office in Gaza stated that with al-Najjar's death, the total number of journalists and media workers killed since the start of the war has risen to 263.
Military activity continued across central and southern Gaza on Wednesday, with drone strikes and gunfire injuring six additional citizens. A drone strike targeting a displaced persons' tent near the Dream Palace Hall, west of Khan Younis, wounded four people, including two children. Furthermore, Israeli forces critically injured two citizens in the Abu al-Ajeen area, southeast of Deir al-Balah, while tank fire heavily targeted the southern parts of Khan Younis. Since October 2025, ceasefire violations have resulted in 1,431 deaths and 5,026 injuries, with 834 bodies recovered. Since the broader conflict began in October 2023, the campaign has resulted in 74,032 Palestinian deaths, 175,142 injuries, and the destruction of 90 percent of civilian infrastructure.
