The parent company of Facebook and Instagram is facing allegations from four states that claim the firm intentionally designed its platforms to be addictive for young users while misrepresenting the associated risks to the public. The potential penalties in this case are estimated to reach as high as $1.4 trillion, a figure roughly equivalent to the total equity value of Meta on the Nasdaq.

A survey conducted by ZipRecruiter indicates that 47% of recent graduates believe AI has already influenced hiring within their respective fields. According to data from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, the unemployment rate for recent graduates stood at 5.7% as of June, notably higher than the 4.1% rate recorded for the broader workforce.
