President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed on Monday that a Russian attack on the Kiev region resulted in the deaths of at least two individuals, one of whom was an Azerbaijani national. In the same update, delivered via a Telegram statement, the president noted that 28 people were injured in the Kharkiv region, a group that included nine children.
Simultaneously, Ukrainian forces launched a drone attack on the Russian region of Voronezh. Regional Governor Alexander Gusev reported that four people, including three children, sustained injuries during the operation. According to the governor, approximately 20 drones were intercepted by air defenses overnight and into the morning. Among the casualties, a woman was hospitalized in moderate condition, two children were reported to be in serious condition, and a teenager received medical attention at the scene. The drone activity caused damage to a country house and three garages, while nearby apartment buildings and homes suffered damage to roofs and windows.
Russia's Ministry of Defence provided a separate account of the day's events, stating that its forces successfully struck Ukrainian logistics, communications, and port facilities, along with various vessels it claimed were supporting the Ukrainian armed forces. The ministry detailed that the strikes targeted fuel infrastructure and data centers in Kiev, as well as facilities located at the Vasylkiv military airfield. Additionally, the Russian military cited strikes against a logistics center in Odessa, infrastructure at the Izmail port, and a shipbuilding and repair facility. The ministry also claimed that two dry cargo vessels carrying military or dual-use supplies were hit during the operations.
